Why do you exercise? Is it important to you?

Managing my time has become a lot tougher since our little boy arrived.

I like to work, train, garden, walk my dogs, read, learn, spend time with my wife and see my family and friends.

Work has become a blur. I have to smash as much out as I can, when I get the chance to focus.

The gardens over grown. Iv not managed to get passed one page of my kindle in the last month without falling sleep.

I’m seeing lots more of family and friends. Because they want to see Sidney!

Training is the one thing that effects everything else in my life. It’s sad but true. I have to do something physical or I will be moody. I don’t feel myself….We all have our ‘thing’ don’t we?….

Before our son arrived I regularly attended CrossFit classes. So I could be trained by someone and be around competitive people. A place where I can push myself.

Right now that doesn’t work. I can’t justify the time needed to get those sessions in at the times they are on.

I also don’t want to take the p*** out of the missus!

Instead of moping about, Iv had to go back to basics. Long walks with the pram. Runs with the dogs. I bought some weights that I could throw about in the garden.

All of the above can keep me fit and healthy until I can return to the gym.

I have always exercised for myself. Now there is another little man in the house that might be looking to take me on one day. 💪

I want to be able to run around with him without getting tired. Show him how to do push ups, pull ups and burpees.

Now it’s about leading by example and showing little Sid the way.
