The 21/22 amateur boxing season has just finished for the Training Cave.
We took part in 48 fights. Won 26. Lost 18 and 4 skills bouts!
The Training Cave boxing team brought home a handful of titles:
1 x junior Yorkshire title (Iyran walker)
1 x schoolboy Yorkshire title (Kian Lynn)
1 x youth Yorkshire development belt (Harry Avis)
1 x junior Yorkshire development belt (Noah Nicholls)
1 x junior Yorkshire development belt (Kian Lynn)
1 x hull box cup gold medal (Harry Avis)
They will now take a break from competition and return in September.
We haven’t been as active as previous years. The team needed to recover from the time off due to COVID and build back up.
Next season, Training Cave will have its biggest squad to date with 26 fighters ranging from 10 year old juniors, to seniors in their 20s. Male and female.
We will be back hosting our own boxing shows after the summer. Please keep an eye out for further information on these.
We want to say a big thank you to our coaches Rich, Dave, Graham, Jack and Brandon. Their wives and partners for putting up with them for being out at shows on weekends! Our directors Andy and Chris, and chairperson Malcolm for their work behind the scenes. Thank you to the parents for trusting us.
