YOUNG PEOPLE FORWARD PROJECT

By 19th May 2021No Comments

Training Cave is offering gym time through the day for young people aged 16-25 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Aimed around boxing and fitness. We also have a mental health coach working with us on this who will be doing team building, trust and managing emotions sessions.

Throughout the course of this programme we will be listening to the young people’s needs and shaping the the sessions to suit the group. External organisations will be brought in to help with any issues the participants may be having in life.

The aim of our young people forward project is to help the young people develop personal discipline, set goals and objectives and in turn improve self belief. Through physical exercise and being around the Training Cave coaches, members and boxers they will see that lessons learnt within the gym transfer into life. Such as hard work, discipline, attitude and decision making.

The sessions are currently running Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at the Training Cave. They will continue every week until the end of August.

We believe that our young people forward project will provide a great opportunity for participants to progress into the next stage of their life.

Any young person that attends this project can access our regular timetable free of charge. Training Cave also plans to offer volunteering opportunities to participants who wish to become involved in our community programmes.

If you are interested or know someone that we can help, please contact us.
